Animals Gathering

In this newly released, magical game players become Mages trying to resurrect the magical animals of the forest that have become extinct due to dark magic.

The game uses a beautiful mixture of dice rolling, set collection and push your luck. The dice come in 3 colours: blue, orange and green. Each die having a specific shape they are more likely to land on, or won't have at all making the dice choices important during play.

Play

On your turn, you either choose to take a new animal from the supply area and place it in your "Summoning" area, where it waits to be resurrected.

Or you roll the dice to try and gain the matching crystals and place them immediately on the appropriate places on any incomplete animal cards. The amount of dice you can throw is dependent on how many unfinished animals are currently sat in your Summoning area, if you have 2 for example you would take 2 dice away from the 6 available - this is a fun mechanic because it limits what you can roll if you end up with too many unfinished cards, but you also want to try and have more than one because if you do not have the matching crystal shapes you rolled, on any of your own incomplete animals, they are then available to use by all the other players.

Each completed Animal is then transferred to the 'companion' area after completion and will then activate their Powers for use throughout the rest of the game. There are 3 types of powers: End of game scoring, every time an animal is resurrected the power is activated, or permanent.

🃏 Each player has a Mage card which permits them an individual player power ability.

🃏 You can also give everyone a Spell card each allowing them a one time use powerful ability - we preferred the game without these though, if I'm honest.

💭 This is a light weight game, and perfect for family games nights. It is fast paced and aesthetically beautiful.

The game involves plenty of fore thought and strategy to keep the avid gamers interested but the rules are simple enough for the newer gamers to get straight Into the game and enjoy it.

✨ I absolutely love the theme of this game, and the style it's designed in is simplistic but beautiful.

✨ The game comes with a really useful and practical insert which is amazing as well.
